Feeding Futures – School Meals for Displaced Children

Hunger is one of the greatest barriers to education. A child who hasn't eaten cannot concentrate, cannot learn, and often stops coming to school entirely. The Feeding Futures program ensures that every child in our school receives at least one nutritious meal daily.

For many of our students, this is their only guaranteed meal of the day. The program not only nourishes their bodies but also serves as a powerful incentive for school attendance — parents are more willing to send their children to school when they know a meal is waiting.

What We Provide

  • Daily nutritious meals for 300+ children
  • Balanced diet including proteins, carbohydrates, and vegetables
  • Clean drinking water throughout the school day
  • Nutrition education for children and parents
  • Community involvement in meal preparation

Impact So Far

Since launching Feeding Futures, we have served over 6,400 meals. School attendance has increased significantly, and teachers report noticeably improved concentration and academic performance among students who eat before class.

Monthly Cost

Feeding 300 children one meal daily costs approximately ₦500,000 per month (about $333). That breaks down to just ₦1,667 per child per month — less than $1.50 to ensure a child eats, learns, and grows.
